The Avantis mixing console is another mixer based on Allen & Heath’s renowned 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine. This engine core uses next generation FPGA technology and parallel virtual processing cores that generate enough power for 88x42 channels of processing (including FX returns) at a sampling rate of 96kHz. In the Avantis, this engine delivers 64 full processing inputs, 12 stereo FX returns, 42 bus with configurable mix architecture, variable bit depth, nearly infinite mix headroom, and ultra-low 0.7ms latency.
See and interact with more from the large Continuity UI screen. Faders react to touch by highlighting active channels, and FastGrab tab gives you split-second access to key freely-assignable parameters (aux sends, EQ, compressor, FX) on specific channels. Channel rotaries let you work gains or pans, then touch to dynamically fold the display and show EQ or compressor parameters.
Stay connected with 12 XLR analog inputs, 12 XLR analogue outputs, plus AES for local I/O. Two additional I/O ports support connection from dLive cards including Dante (64x64 and 128x128), Waves, gigaACE, MADI, and more. Connect any Allen & Heath audio expander hardware via the SLink connection.
Control the mixer with Avantis Director software, MixPad app, Custom Control app, or with Allen & Heath’s range of remote controllers and GPIO interfaces. Use the Avantis Director app to edit online and off.
Experience effects beyond the norm with the 12 dedicated FX rack slots. This FX suite drew inspiration from renowned outboard equipment, including pristine reverbs, detailed delays, and stunning classic modulation effects. Each slot has a dedicated stereo return – keeping your input channels free – and there is one slot per effect.
The Avantis dPack upgrades these excellent features so you get the most from your Avantis. Pack enables dLive processing direct inside your AVantis, including Dyn8 (up to 16 instances), DEEP Compressors, exclusive RackExtra FX, and the Dual Stage Valve Preamp.
Dynamic processing from the powerful Dyn8 processor boasts four bands of dynamic EQ and four bands of multiband compression. Applications are practically endless, including taming vocals, tightening sub-groups, and adding sonic glue to a mix. Avantis dPack enables 16 Dyn8 engines to insert on Input and Mix channels.
Choose your sound style from available DEEP compressors Peak Limiter 76, OptTronik, 16T, 16VU, Mighty and Opto. DEEP preamp Dual Stage Valve imitates pentode and triode topologies to bring sounds from a touch of warmth to a full-on valve crunch.
RackExtra FX provides Transient Controller and Hypabass. Transient Controller provides cut and boost of the attack and sustain envelopes of the input signal. Hypabass generates infra and sub bass from weaker bass programme.
