The Blackmagic Micro Converters are incredibly tiny broadcast video converters that let you connect between consumer HDMI and professional SDI equipment. The rugged and miniaturized design makes them small enough to be used anywhere. It uses USB for power, allowing it to be powered directly from TVs or laptops.

This model can convert in both directions, in different standards at the same time! You can convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI simultaneously. Plus it supports camera control protocol conversion, so you can use Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras with professional SDI live production switchers.

Convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI in any combination of SD, HD or Ultra HD formats all at the same time. Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G lets you simultaneously convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI in all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60. Each conversion direction can be a different SD, HD or Ultra HD video standard, so it’s like getting two converters in one. With multi-rate 12G-SDI input and output connections, Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G is compatible with virtually all professional broadcast equipment, including level A and B devices. It even automatically detects all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats. Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G has all you need to convert HDMI consumer gear to SDI. Use the input to convert HDMI computers or consumer cameras into 12G-SDI, while using the output for monitoring with big screen televisions or projectors.

The all metal durable design is perfect for live production and broadcast. Plus it’s small enough to be hidden and used anywhere. It can be powered from any USB-C socket, or with the included power supply and international socket adapters.

Though the converter is small, it still features the highest quality broadcast technology, signal processing and deep bith depth video pipeline. Micro Converters have been engineered with precision electronics so you get very low SDI jitter, allowing you to extend SDI cables over long distances. That’s vital for live production where equipment such as cameras can be a long distance from switchers. You also get fully embedded audio and timecode support.
