GLX-D® Digital Wireless Systems revolutionize wireless sound equipment in their combination of legendary Shure microphones with the extraordinary clarity of digital audio. Ideal for small and medium stages, this lav system is a popular selection for performers and public speakers alike. Any wireless system gives you more freedom on stage; the GLX-D series also gives you more freedom from interference. It operates on the globally license-free 2.4Ghz band, and in the case of RF interference, both receiver and transmitter automatically jump to a new clear frequency without interrupting the audio signal by using LINKFREQ.

Setup is fast and convenient: the first time the receiver is plugged in it searches for the best available frequency then sets the transmitter to that frequency without even the push of a button. Gain level is adjusted on the receiver and bodypack transmitter, both of which can be locked to prevent accidental changes. GLXD4 receiver also features an LCD screen displaying the group and channel in use, transmitter battery charge remaining, and various audio levels.

As with the receiver, the GLXD1 bodypack transmitter has LED indicators to display power, mute, and battery charge statuses. The GLXD4 receiver pairs with the GLXD1 bodypack transmitter, which features lapel mic WL185. A cardioid condenser lav mic with a 130-degree pickup angle, it is ideal for presenters and other public speakers. GLXD1 bodypack transmitter provides unique savings in its recharging capabilities: the battery itself is rechargeable. The lifespan of this rechargeable battery replaces up to 2,000 traditional alkaline batteries. To recharge, either remove the battery and place it in the receiver’s internal charging port, or plug the transmitter (with battery inside) into an AC power source or USB port. When fully charged, the battery can run for up to 11.5 hours of continuous use.
