Whatever style of music you want to make, the Focusrite Pro Red 16Line is a powerful audio interface. Features include A-D/D-A conversion, overall ultra-low latency, up to 121dB dynamic range, Red Evolution mic preamps, expansion over Ethernet for networked audio, and that’s just the beginning of what makes the Red 16Line a popular choice.

This audio interface is ideal to add-on to your existing systems. Both DigiLink™ connectors and Thunderbolt connections are provided so you can switch from Pro Tools | HD to a second DAW easily. These ports eliminate reconfiguring option cards in the interface; all you need to do is change the host mode and you can change DAWs in seconds. In addition to these ports are 16 line inputs on D-sub, 16 line outputs and 2 main monitor outputs. If you need more power from this audio interface dual-port Dante™ connectivity lets you add more channels at higher sample rates via Ethernet.

Various tools equip this interface to create high performance audio. Audio converters have been tailored to provide the optimal balance of sound quality, dynamic range of over 118 dB, and conversion latency. Two digitally-controlled Red Evolution mic preamps are used in this interface, providing up to 63 dB of clean gain. Preamps also offer stereo linking, phantom power, high-pass filter, phase reverse, and Air mode, all to further improve audio.

Experience the Red sound across your mix with the included Red 2 and Red 3 EQ and compression plug-ins. These plug-ins recreate the sound qualities of the original Red hardware, distributing the classic Red sound beloved by professional recording studios worldwide across your entire mix.

Many audio interfaces require audio engineers to build two different mixes, one using input monitoring to overdub, another using the DAW for playback. Ultra-low round trip latency transforms your workflow: build one mix on the DAW to use whether overdubbing or playing back.
