The Clarett 4Pre USB audio interface is a great choice for recording and monitoring applications of any kind, and you will have all the tools needed to produce right away. You have more than enough I/O to record a band however you want with up to two instrument, four mic or eight line inputs, and ADAT expandability. An unparalleled dynamic range of 118 dB and low-noise 24-bit/192kHz converters provide clarity and nuance to recordings. With this audio recording software, travel is convenient, and your setup can adapt to any space.

Microphones, instruments, line level audio signals and digital audio signals can connect from the audio interface to your computer through the computer’s USB port. These audio sources can also be recorded into the audio interface and played back from any analogue or digital audio equipment you already use. The Clarett 4Pre USB is also a MIDI interface, allowing your computer to connect to other MIDI equipment in your studio. If you want to add to this recording system, ADAT connectivity enables you to add an additional eight mic pres with Clarett OctoPre.

The Clarett 4Pre USB audio interface is paired with Focusrite Control. The software application (or app for iPad/iPhone use) simplifies setup, allows custom monitor mixes to be created for each musician, and routes and monitors mixes from your device.

Built into the audio interface is the Clarett preamp. Enhancing the already stellar preamp, the audio interface features Air mode with impedance switching. Air mode gives new color to your mics, capturing unique high-end detail by imitating Focusrite’s ISA transformer-based mic preamps. The difference is particularly noticeable with enhanced clarity and definition in mid to high frequencies, exactly where it is needed most for vocals and various acoustic instruments. Clarett 4Pre’s high bandwidth, ultra-low distortion design allows you to capture incredible sound, whatever your setup.
