Increase your connectivity and enhance your capability with the DT164-with Dante I/O Wallmount Expander from Allen & Heath.

The DT164-W gives you 16 microphone preamps, complete with 96kHz converters for premium sound quality over Dante; 4 XLR line outputs; and Primary and Secondary Dante ports that allow you to daisy-chain or add redundancy using locking EtherCon connectors. Use this expander in combination with an SQ Dante or dLive 96kHz Dante card to add up to 16 units to an AHM-64, SQ, Avantis, or dLive system. (All external equipment and cards sold separately.)

The DT164-W comes with three power supply options. Get 100-230 volt of AC power from IEC, or swap the IEC mains power inlet out with a gland module and screw terminals for fixed installation. A DC 12V backup power supply is also provided.

This expander comes with DT Preamp Control, a Windows/macOS app that lets you control multiple DT expanders remotely and lets you use them with Dante-equipped third-party digital mixers and sound management systems. The DT164-W is also AES67 compatible.

The DT164-W’s wall-mount design is intended for permanent installation, while the reversible mounting frame offers the option to mount in-wall or on-wall depending on what best fits your setup. Use custom brackets (sold separately) to fit the unit into a standard NEMA box or mount it in a floor pocket (using the ACE Backstage 174SLBK stage pocket system, sold separately) for use on stage without getting in the way.

More about Dante

Developed by Audinate, Dante is a revolutionary, Ethernet-compliant audio networking technology that was designed specifically to meet the increasing demand for high-performance audio, particularly in live sound applications. Dante also allows for flexible routing and offers an affordable solution to computer recording. Dante uses a CAT5 cable and standard networking components to distribute multiple audio streams, plus integrates control data with sub-millisecond latency.
