Compact and efficient, HELO from AJA combines SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs into a single standalone tool that equips you for streaming and recording up to 1080p 60 in beautiful, H.264/MPEG 4-encoded files that are widely compatible with all sorts of devices, from desktops to mobile devices to Smart TVs. HELO is ideal for applications that require full-size connectivity and powerhouse features in their portable equipment, making it a great fit for any venue or setup such as live locations, webcasts, and studio productions. HELO simplifies streaming to your Content Delivery Network (CDN) with a USB connection and powerful web browser-based user interface that allows you to preset and preconfigure your CDN. This is a great feature for mobile applications since you can start setting up even before you have access to the venue; once there, simply press the Stream button to start delivering your project. HELO’s Ethernet connection supports RTP/RTSP, RTMP, RTMPE for Facebook live as well as Unicast, and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) provides additional compatibility with Apple’s iOS devices and more.

HELO offers a wide range of options for recording media so you can choose what best fits your project’s needs—from USB thumb drives and RAID storage to SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards, to NFS or CIFS network-based shares. This device’s dedicated Record button is conveniently located right at the front of HELO’s interface, offers simultaneous recording and streaming, and allows for redundant recording of one file to two media destinations. This last option is ideal for providing clients with copies of recordings while keeping a master in-house.

Packed with features that elevate your recording or streaming projects, HELO’s 2-Channel stereo audio encodes at up to 24-bit 48kHz, with data rates that range from 32kbps to 256kps in MEPG-4 AAC-LC. Other features include a web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) that lets you preview video and an AV Mute setting that lets you mute live video and audio.
