The AT8010 from Audio-Technica is a condenser microphone with an omnidirectional polar pattern that provides optimal ambient pickup. Operating on battery or phantom power, this mic provides an extremely smooth, extended response (20-20,000 Hz) both on and off-axis, and has low sensitivity to popping or overload. It is ideal for interviews, group vocals, picking up reaction sounds from a crowd, and musical events such as miking applications for strings, cymbal overheads, acoustic guitar, and piano.
The AT8010 mic comes with a custom AT8405a stand clamp for 5/8"-27 threaded stands, which further helps isolate it from background noise. Also included in the box is a 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter, an AT8136 windscreen to minimize wind and vocal pops, a battery, and an S4 soft protective pouch for safe transportation and storage.
