Upgrade your Clarett interface to provide more channels with the Focusrite Clarett OctoPre 8-Channel Mic Pre & AD/DA Converter. Eight Clarett mic pres on this audio interface have plenty of gain yet minimal noise and distortion. Each channel can be Air-enabled to recreate the input impedance, clarity and frequency response curve of Focusrite’s original ISA mic preamp. The Clarett OctoPre is useful for mixing and tracking with up to eight ADAT digital channels feeding 25-pin DSUB rear-panel analogue outputs. Line outputs can provide feeds from the mic pres, helpful for feeding a live console while recording digital outputs. ADAT optical inputs and outputs extend the capabilities of this audio interface even further. Press the ADAT to Line button to add up to 8 more line outputs to this setup. Perfect for recording bands and small music groups, use this system as a stand-alone recording or mixing console, or expand the power of other audio interfaces you already use.
Superior digital audio requires good conversion, and the Clarett OctoPre delivers with 24-bit converters operating up to 192kHz for hi-res audio. Dual instrument inputs on the front panel have extra headroom to handle the loudest pickup. Every input has a switched insert point for single-cable connection of compression, equalization and other outboard analogue processing. Hardwired relay bypass is also included so outboard gear or a patchbay can be left connected and ready to use at the press of a button. Each channel can be adjusted separately with gain, Air mode, phantom power, and more. The OctoPre also comes with software programs that add even more options to the interface’s performance.
