More about Yamaha's HS Studio Monitors

Experience exceptional accuracy with Yamaha’s HS Series of speakers. These are the perfect studio reference monitors for any audio application that requires precision and accuracy, such as mixing, music production, and recording—all from speaker monitors that deliver a concise sound image, high resolution, and flat response in close quarters.

Enjoy an amazingly smooth response over a wide range of bandwidth with HS Series’ innovative transducer design. An advanced magnetic field helps provide seamless, natural transitions. Every component in the transducer has been optimized for signal accuracy throughout the audio spectrum:

  • An efficient 1” dome tweeter extends the usable frequency range for high-resolution audio
  • A thick wave guide minimizes vibration to deliver high end up to 30kHz without suffering distortion
  • High-power, ultra-responsive woofers provide a well-defined bottom end at any output level
  • The woofer ring and the basket further enhance the bass while providing clear, accurate mids

HS Series speakers deliver consistent, high-resolution sound with exceptionally flat response across the sound spectrum. Their bi-amp design is perfectly matched to the transducers, with a separate amp for the woofer and tweeter each.

Inside and out, this series of monitor speakers is built to enhance your sound. Their cabinets eliminate unwanted resonance. Constructed of dense and resilient MDF, the enclosures also feature a three-way mitered-joint technique that anchors the corners to improve durability and eliminate unwanted resonance.

Ready to meet the demands of professional audio production applications, the HS Series also includes a speaker port design that reduces audible noise up to 6dB for better sonic clarity. In addition, full-range models feature two response controls that allow you to adapt the speakers’ settings to the specific acoustics of your space’s shape and size.

In HS-I models, the speakers feature additional mounting points that make them compatible with three optional bracket types (wall, ceiling, and baton). This delivers additional flexibility on where to position your speaker units, making them great for an even wider variety of environments.
