The Blink 500 B5 uses the RXUC dual USB-C micro-receiver. Designed for devices that are mounted in handheld gimbals, the B5 is compatible with a wide range of products that have USB-C ports, from Android or Apple phones and tablets, to Chromebooks, Apple and Windows computers. Though handheld gimbals are known for creating cinematic-quality video footage, they have tended to lag behind in audio quality. The RXUC receiver’s light weight and compact size eliminates that: it is light enough to clip to a mobile device without throwing off the balance, and small enough to not obstruct the gimbal’s motors and arm. The transmitter is small and versatile to adapt to your needs in each shot as well. It can clip to a shirt, slide into a pocket, sit on a table or podium, or be used handheld. Pairing the transmitter to the receiver is simple, as the process is complete once the lav system is powered on for the first time. Flexibility for space is another plus of this system. The transmitter operates at a 98-foot range from the receiver with some obstacles, and up to 164 feet in open spaces.
