In addition, you can put Dictation Mode to work to jump back and forth in preselected increments, employing speed control and dictation EQ to transcribe meetings and other important speech recordings.
The DR-05X allows high-quality stereo recording to MP3 or WAV formatting. It features a pair of omnidirectional mics that are sensitive enough to capture every nuance of your sound, all while handling up to 125dB SPL. Take advantage of the Level Line function to smooth out sudden jumps in volume, while the DR-05X’s built-in speaker lets you instantly check your recordings.
Use the DR-05X as a USB audio interface via its 2 inputs and outputs. A mini-jack stereo input allows you to plug in a microphone or line-level source (external gear sold separately); this input comes with plug-in power for mics that may need it. You can also connect to a PC using USB Audio interface mode to transform the DR-05X into an ideal tool for voiceover work, live streaming, podcasting, and songwriting with studio-quality audio.
The DR-05X runs on 2 AA batteries for recording sessions of over 17 hours—even when recording at CD quality. Alternatively, you can also operate this device via USB bus power or by using its optional PS-P520U AC adapter (sold separately).
