The Surge drumkit features Alesis’ characteristic mesh drumheads, which allow for an ultra-responsive feel and natural expression. The Surge drumkit is comprised of a 10" dual-zone snare, three 8" dual-zone tom pads, and an 8" mesh kick tower pad with pedal, as well as three wide-range cymbals (a ride cymbal, crash cymbal with choke function, and hi-hat). Also included in the box are all the connectors and cable wraps for you to perfect your setup, along with drumsticks, a power supply, and all the accessories you need to get drumming right away. Rounding out this kit is a 4-post chrome rack that’s durable enough to take the punishment of hardcore drum sessions, and specifically designed to be quick to set up for easy gigging.
Central to this kit is the Surge Drum Module, which comes complete with 40 classic and modern ready-to-play kits and 385 superior drum, cymbal, and percussion sounds. This module’s layout mimics a traditional kit, so assigning and adjusting your sounds is easy and intuitive, while the backlit LCD display makes navigation effortless. This module is packed with valuable extras and learning features to help you expand your skillset, such as 60 play-along tracks, a built-in metronome, and an advanced sequencer and performance recorder for reviewing and troubleshooting your music.
The Surge Module boasts optimized connectivity that includes a USB MIDI connection to computers and mobile devices and MIDI I/O for drum machines, sound modules, and other audio gear. A headphone jack allows you to practice in private—even when you’re not alone. Stereo outputs connect a PA system, amplifier, or recording console, while stereo aux inputs enable connection to a CD or MP3 player so you can jam along to your favorite songs.
