The ACTION-S218 is a passive direct radiation subwoofer system. It is comprised of two 18FW low-frequency drivers, each with a 3” coil and 20 mm winding depth, double layer, and sandwich to boost system power. Its innovative forced convection circuit works to reduce the effects of coil heating, improving the system’s overall performance.

Following DAS Audio’s stringent goals for innovative design and top-quality components, this subwoofer boasts a frequency range of 33 Hz to 160 Hz, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. It handles up to 139 dB of sound pressure levels (Maximum Peak SPL at 1 m).

ACTION-S218 is particularly great for vocals and speech, with its birch plywood enclosure that reliably delivers warm, authentic audio. It’s an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including sound reinforcement for live performances (featuring bands, DJs, and more), music playback for entertainment venues, A/V systems, conferences, professional presentations, and so much more!

NOTE: When using a passive version of the ACTION-500 subwoofers, you’ll need to complete the sound system with DAS Audio amplifiers and processors with stored presets and limiters; the recommended companions of this speaker are the PA-2700 amplifier and the DSP-226 processor. (All external gear sold separately.) This will ensure optimized long-term subwoofer performance.
