The Vi2000 from Soundcraft is a 96-channel digital mixing console that is designed for live touring, install and corporate AV markets. Experience pro-quality sound via this mixer’s 40-bit floating-point DSP environment via premium STUDER, BSS, Lexicon, and dbx algorithms. Widescreen Vistonics

The user-friendly Widescreen Vistonics 'knobs-on-glass' functionality helps you effortlessly see and access settings for 16 channels side by side, all on a single 22” touchscreen. The upper half of this screen handles Output section control, Cue List, or Menu displays.

Two rows of 16 rotary encoders control parameters, core snapshot, talkback, and monitoring. Meanwhile, Soundcraft’s Faderglow™ color coding illuminates the fader slots according to function using clearly defined colors for even better at-a-glance organization. Another feature is the Vi2000’s VM2 microphone monitoring functionality.

SpiderCore

The Vi2000 boasts Soundcraft’s SpiderCore, an integrated DSP and IO engine based on STUDER technology and compact enough to reside inside the control surface itself. Running the latest V6.3 console software, the Vi2000 includes vMIX automatic microphone mixing, alongside the acclaimed BSS DPR901ii Dynamic EQ via an insertable processing pool which also includes Lexicon Multi-effects and the ability to insert any external device.

Enhanced Connectivity

Connectivity makes the Vi2000 easy to integrate into any live sound setup. Its built-in configurable connections boast up to 48 configurable mic line inputs and 16 line outputs using combinations of 16ch XLR modules in 4 rear-mounted slots, and also includes two 64ch expansion slots allowing up to 2 MADI-based stageboxes to be connected, or alternatively the slots provide access to the extensive range of D21m IO option cards. The total I/O count is 246 in 246 out.

Dante Interface

Achieve a direct recording/playback connection via the Vi2000’s integrated 64x64ch Dante interface. This allows you to use ethernet or any PC- or Mac-based recording software to link your mixing console to an Dante network. You can further round out this setup with an additional optical MADI interface designed for either record feeds or connection of the Soundcraft Realtime Rack Plug-in engine, adding the power of Universal Audio UAD-powered plug-ins to the Vi2000's pristine audio quality.
